The blue backpack in the corner is my Fjällräven Kajka backpack 65 W. The support system in Kajka 65 W is tailored to women’s ergonomics and easily adjusted in both width and length, it has been my best companion (after Petter) on this trip and in it you can find:

Mexican shawl from Gypsy Galeria, pink trucker hat from Bing, Sea to Summit packing cells with clothes, shoes and a bit of everything in, Guatemalan handmade bag, travel towel, blouses from San Cristobal, favorite hat from my favorite Margaret, notebook, guidebook for Central America, rash guard, reef boots (totally useless for Central America, at least for the breaks we surfed), dreamcatcher from a Mexican lady, silk sheets, bikinis from Billabong, passport cover, phone, my favorite pillow from my mama, Ancient greek sandals, awesome surfy Seea swimsuit, Bing mini simmons surfboard.

The sunsets are amazing here, overlooking the magnific rock. Really enjoyed them. This one was one of those sunsets that shakes you up and reminds you how beautiful life is, how fortunate we are.. Thank you for following our adventures!

I am sitting here in front of a crystal clear blue pool. A few meters further away down is a white white beach with sand as soft as powder snow. As well as it separates me from the ocean it unites me with the huge and so perfect barreling waves that I have come to love so much.

I am applying for university this fall, right now.

So I’m not out there in the perfect waves. I’m sitting in front of my computer, connected to world and about to commit to something really different. And I’m eager to do it! Eager to open the books i once wanted to burn, just a few years ago actually. That’s such an amazing feeling. Like surfing the waves.

Keep on traveling, keep on moving, keep on searching. It opens your mind.

After visiting the big old mayan city we went to a funky place along the road to find us a bed. In the jungle, in the middle of nowhere there was three or four different hostels, a bunch of “hippies” and backpackers, a few restaurants, one of them italian and famous in the whole of Chiapas.

It’s funny how those paces turn up in the middle of the nowhere, just because of tourism. Sometimes when I feel bad about being rich, white and a fortunate traveller I like to think about the fact that just by being here, being a tourist I actually bring people work and their country wealth. We also try and support local communties as much as possible, giving to those in need, eating at local places, at different places, buying local crafts, even if it’s sooo heavy to carry around on our backs.

At this hippe-jungle-hideaway they even served wood fired pizza, of course to accompanied with a mexican margarita. That’s service! Probably the last margarita before crossing the border to Guatemala, the country of rum..

Check this out, they are even on tripadvisor!

Sorry about the fuck you finger, we where just playing around during the loooong pizza-wait.

Avocados, papayas, bananas I loove it! We stayed at a place where it took forty minutes to an hour to get the food you ordered, then the avocados came in very handy! But while waxing his board I think Petter wanted to eat his Bing fish..
