this day me and linn went to different locations. to different markets. linn, johanna and tamy went to a big market in the middle of bangkok and found alot of sweet beeds and jewelry. i got the opportunity to spend a day with thewas family. to spend a day as a thai. and they got the opportunity to spend a whole day with a fa rang. because for most of the thais that is very rare. we went to a small island situated in the middle of the river running threw bangkok. on this island they had put up a thai market where i found incredible hand made things. loats of personal jewellery, clothes, pottery, bags, textils, artwork, wooden work, candy, ceramic and so on.. and yeah.. if it was cheap on khosan road it was at least ten times cheaper here. to put it in perspective a hand made bag was 20 swedish krones (2 euro), a hand made bracelet 2 krones, made necklace was 4 krones and hand made woodcarved animals and spoons about 1-3 krones. can you imagine me ending up with TWO new bags filled to the top with loads of sweet stuff?! hehe! and beside that the people was very friendly. the food was faboulus and i got to see alot of thai culture and tradition. a day to remember. big thanks to the whole family. without them it would be impossible cuz the word english where not spoken here. and that made the whole thing even more interesting.

Buena Vista Social Club – Chan Chan

not bad at all.

or rather five nights.. this is a crazy, crazy town and all the smog, shopping, heat and stress is making me dizzy and extremly tired. can’t wait to go to a paradise island and just exhale.

today we have left busy kahosan road, who is just like the name says chaotic. okej det dar skamtet funkade kanske bara pa svenska.. kaos ni vet. kanske ska jag folja isabels rad och skriva pa svenska? haha. we now live in a area who is much more “real” and we are practically the only farangs here.

Thewa, our friend from sweden, is acting guide and interpreter and everything really runs more smoothly when he speaks thai! from cheaper taxis to a better table at a resturant.. His whole family has opened their arms and are so eaxtremly friendly and helpful! Our plans now is to go to Thewas mum, who lives two hours from bangkok, and then continue to koh samet where i hope to find white beaches and smooth water. after that we might to go to Laos and maybe kambodja. We met two young swedes yesterday who had each one bar in kamboja. crazy! right know everything seems possible!

I miss my family and friends at home like crazy!! especially when I get sweet, sweet emails from my little sister and sees pictures from my friend Alex’s birthday party!! wish i was there! even tough my “here” is pretty damn sweet right now!
