a little dream coming true

My friend Julia made her own bread last week and it tasted so good. You know bread so good that you just can’t stop eat it? That good. She promised it wasn’t hard and gave me the recipe. It has always been a little dream of mine, to make my own bread, so I tried.

And Julia was right! It was really easy. Maybe it was my sisters help? Tasty scandinavian rye bread, perfect with some warm soup. I’m gonna try to bake more bread, so much more tasty that the factory produced bread. Way cheaper and you know what’s in it. I’m sharing the recipe, but in swedish cause I don’t know how to write the measures in international language. Don’t want to screw it up with converting deciliters to cups the wrong way…

För två bröd (eller tre små):

1 liter filmjölk
2 dl mörk sirap
1 1/2 tsk salt
5 tsk bikarbonat
4 1/2 dl vetemjöl
5 dl grahamsmjöl
2 dl havregryn
1 1/2 dl vetegroddar
2 dl grovt rågmjöl
1 1/2 dl vetekli

Fördela smeten i formar.
