Another day in Berlin. Started this day off by having a long breakfast at a hip café just next to our hostel. Morena bar. They make a really nice continental breakfast which is quite affordable from 4 euros and up depending on how many different cheeses, fruits etc you want with it. Warning for the staff tough. They do their work and they do it ok in the big breakfast huzzle they have every morning. But they are pretty rude so don’t expect a smile nor a thank you. Guessing that might be the overall Berlin service vibe.
Planning the day. Second hand shopping on the to do list. Only that.
Kottbusser. Our S-bahn stop in Kreuzberg. Loving the name.
Alexander platz. One of the bigger U-bahn stations. Loving the turquoise walls.
Went over to Prenzlauer berg to look into some berlin style second hand shops. Second hand is a big deal here and there’s so many shops and areas to look.
Sara found a nice pair of hängsleskjorts, Hans Peter found a mexican hat.
In between every second hand shop was a nice little restaurant or café. Convenient.
Bought a workers old shirt just like the one on the cover of this German magazine paper from few years back.
Sat down to take a coffe at Glory Whole, one of the many nice little cafés and restaurants along Oderberger Straße.
In Berlin they really show how you can make a lot out of a little. Just look at this artistic sign they made out of a board and some tape.
Or this street art installation further down the street.
Went back towards Kreuzberg and the hostel to start warming up for the evening/night/morning. I’ll show you later where we went. That’s worth another post.
Sara & Amanda were both having their birthdays on this day, so we had party with cake and wine with bubbles and everything in one of our dorm rooms.
Hey!
We are glad you liked the food and so sorry if the service was not up to par. We thought your pictures were amazing! Could we use the picture of the breakfast and the bar on our Facebook , with credits and linking (if you want to) of course.
Best, Morena Team
