I and Hugo went up early to catch the sunrise in Dondra Harbour. It is the southern most point of Sri Lanka the best harbour to get fish. The fishermen were stoked to come in with their catch and you could see they loved being on shore again. Tourism isn’t so big here so it was a great local experience. Yellow fin Tuna went for 1 euro per kilo, Mahi Mahi or Dolphin fish for 1,5 euro per kilo. Isn’t that crazy!? I know what you’re thinking but they don’t use longlines or trawl-net here so it feels ok. The prices are this low as the only middle men is the fishermen himself. We got a big Mahi Mahi and made the nicest barbecue ever the same evening!
