We took the train from Ella to Hatton. It felt like stepping back in time til when the brittish used this railroad to transport tea and veggies from the mountains. Today the stretch between Ella and Hatton is known for being one of the most beautiful train rides in the world. Not strange as it’s situated 2000 meters above sea level surrounded by mountains covered in tea plantations, the whole way. The tea plantations looked like perfect cut lawns. 4.5 hours of awesomeness.
Cost: 4 euros with a reserved seat in 3rd class. But we hanged out of the doors most of the time anyway!
Hobbit land.
The bus going towards HALLÅ JA!
Catching colorful flowers from the doors and windows.
The rest of the train joined the game.
