Going on a holiday or even a world tour is one thing but moving is a totally different story. Well, its not like we wont come back, but we have decided to let our aparment go, sell & give away more than half of what we own, put the rest in a storage and spend more than half of the year somewhere else. It was hard to pack. It was hard to know we wont be seeing friends and family for 8-9 months. It was hard to leave when Sweden is at it’s best and surf is up. But dreamlike adventure is calling and we are super stoked!
So why Sri Lanka? Well, we’ve always dreamt of having a place somewhere awesome, abroad. And we have been travelling to some pretty epic surf countries around the world but we’ve always come back for Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is just so perfect. The waves meet this paradise island in magical shapes, breaking with crystal clear water over coral reefs full of colorful fish. Sea turtles is so common in the lineup and on the beach you’ll se them every day. Theres amazing jungle, mountain ranges, wild elephants, wild leopards, blue whales and thousans of dolphins off the coast, super cool colonial cities with nice little restaurangs and shops and so much more.. It’s untouched, comperativly.
Thats why we are here.
We are not sure how long we’ll stay but our aim is to be back home until next summer. Meanwhile we are going to do some distance and field studies for our exam. And surf. We’ll try to keep the blog more updated.
