or rather five nights.. this is a crazy, crazy town and all the smog, shopping, heat and stress is making me dizzy and extremly tired. can’t wait to go to a paradise island and just exhale.

today we have left busy kahosan road, who is just like the name says chaotic. okej det dar skamtet funkade kanske bara pa svenska.. kaos ni vet. kanske ska jag folja isabels rad och skriva pa svenska? haha. we now live in a area who is much more “real” and we are practically the only farangs here.

Thewa, our friend from sweden, is acting guide and interpreter and everything really runs more smoothly when he speaks thai! from cheaper taxis to a better table at a resturant.. His whole family has opened their arms and are so eaxtremly friendly and helpful! Our plans now is to go to Thewas mum, who lives two hours from bangkok, and then continue to koh samet where i hope to find white beaches and smooth water. after that we might to go to Laos and maybe kambodja. We met two young swedes yesterday who had each one bar in kamboja. crazy! right know everything seems possible!

I miss my family and friends at home like crazy!! especially when I get sweet, sweet emails from my little sister and sees pictures from my friend Alex’s birthday party!! wish i was there! even tough my “here” is pretty damn sweet right now!

YEES! i got an internet connection. hav’nt been able to use my macbook since my charger broke. and a new one in SA is 1200 SEK so YES i will have to wait and buy a one in bangkok instead.. but no worries now.. cuz we are flying there tomoooorow!!

about or week in the winelands in southafrica. its been just soooo amazing! we have been to alot of interesting wineries in stellenbosch, hermanus, franschoek, swartland, darling, paarl and so on.. we have been tasting wine from the coolest little farms wich are really down to earth to the big and internationally known ones that are creating the really big wines. some examples of the wineries we have been to is hamilton russel, boekenhoutskloof, reuneke, blaauwklippen, groote post, lammershoek and more. and even the big famous wineries feel so small and real once you get there. when you walk threw the field eating the sauvignon blanc in the sun, when you feel the newharvested grapes just before pressing or when you sit down and talk to the winemakers themselfes.. when we visited Johan reuneke the owner and the winemaker even wanted to take us for a surf to show us his homespots! and this guy does make some of the best wines in the country. yes, we have found alot of interesting things to bring home. but the most funny thing for the two of us is probably to get to this luxury life of winetastings and dinners at great restaurants staing at kitted up lodges and such. i mean we have been sleeping in sizzling hot tents, on hard curchbenches and at alot of strange backpackers living on pop and pasta all days. and then straight into a world where my parents have been fixing just about everything. and it have all been perfect! i love them. they are great! the best!

different experiences. alot of them. great ones. just as we imagined we would do on this big trip. just as we imagined. awesome!

After a awesome winetour with petters parents in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Svartland and darling we’re now back in cape town. We’re staying at a beautiful, brand new backpackers in observatory called African Heart. It is runned by Jamie and Elizna who also got the UBUNTU backpacker in J-bay.

Stellenbosch was so green, cozy and filled with happy students. Almost like a greener Lund (swedish town) but with more wine and and just 1 hour from epic surf. You can study almost everything there and both me and Petter got really interested.

Yesterday Rudolph and his sweet friend picked us up and drove us to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens to watch a concert with, uum, wait waths the name? Fokofpolisiekar!
That basically means “fuck off police” in afrikaans (Rudolph right me if I’m wrong?). We sat there in the grass with a big coolbox that Rudolph had filled with sandwiches and cold beer and looked at an amazing view and listened to sweet music. Then we drove up to a lookaout point close to lion’s head and saw the whole town with all the lights and cars. A perfect ending to our time here in south africa.

Tomorrow we are going to Bangkok! It’s my first time in Thailand and Asia so I’m super stoked! (haha, off course petter is that too even if it is his 3rd time now) Just saw that our friend Thewa is gonna bee able to meet us and he was talking about Laos.. Very exciting!

I’m standing in a iStore in cape town so I didn’t think i would be able to post you guys some photos but petter has plugged in his lap top so maaaybe..

i have been afraid of this jump since i first figured its a must to do it if you find yourself in the same country as it. i i have felt the fear streaming in my vains ever since i began to plan the trip here a year ago. when we booked the flight tickets it was no return. down here i have done everything to not think about it. even though its been unavoidable i have done everything to forget. forget though i find myself in the same continent and country as the worlds highest bungyjump. twohundredandsixteen meters!! from south africas highest and most brutal bridge. but when we on our way to plettenberg bay passed a huge bridge with a view that looked very much like what ive seen on many photos i got an inpuls. its a must do! we are gonna do it! so without anyone really noticing (including my own soul) i booked three jumps.

first up was linn love.

and there i stood watching people throw themself out of a bridge only leaving a long and slowly dissapearing scream to me. getting towed up on the other side of the bridge with a smile bigger than big made me do the most scary thing.
